Maintenance Matters
Every Clearbrooklife piece is designed with delicate fabrics, sculptural silhouettes, and layered textures that require intentional care. This guide is not just maintenance instructions — it is a preservation system for extending the life, beauty, and structure of your garments.
Design Sensitivity & Fabric Behavior
Clearbrooklife garments are constructed using a combination of delicate lace, chiffon layers, structured knits, and artistic embroidery. These materials are intentionally selected for their visual depth and movement rather than industrial durability alone.
As a result, maintenance is an essential extension of the design process itself. Proper care ensures that silhouettes remain sculptural, textures remain expressive, and fabric integrity is preserved over time.
STEP 01 — INITIAL HANDLING
When receiving your garment, avoid immediate washing. Allow the fabric to rest in a dry environment for 24 hours to stabilize fiber tension after shipping compression.
STEP 02 — STORAGE PREPARATION
Store garments on wide-shoulder hangers for tops and structured dresses. For knit or lightweight chiffon items, folding with tissue layering is recommended to avoid stretching.
STEP 03 — FIRST CLEANING
Hand wash is strongly recommended for all delicate pieces. Use cold water and mild neutral detergent. Avoid twisting or wringing fabric as it may disrupt sculptural folds and lace structure.
STEP 04 — DRYING PROCESS
Air dry naturally in a shaded environment. Direct sunlight may alter dye tones and weaken fiber elasticity. Hang garments in their natural silhouette position to preserve shape memory.
Fabric-Specific Care
Lace: Avoid friction and sharp accessories. Wash inside a mesh bag if machine cleaning is necessary.
Chiffon: Handle gently; avoid heat exposure during drying.
Knit: Store flat when possible to prevent vertical stretching.
Satin: Iron only on low temperature from reverse side.
Embroidery: Avoid heavy pressing to preserve raised texture integrity.
Environmental Protection
Humidity, heat, and friction are the three primary factors affecting garment longevity. We recommend storing pieces in a dry, ventilated environment. Avoid overcrowded closets to maintain fabric breathing space and silhouette integrity. Use garment covers for long-term preservation.
Wearing Guidelines
Many Clearbrooklife designs include layered draping, asymmetric cuts, and decorative surface elements. These are intentional structural features and should not be adjusted or pulled during wear.
Avoid excessive stretching when putting on or removing garments. For fitted pieces with lace or corsetry elements, gentle handling from shoulder seams is recommended.
Ironing & Steam Treatment
Steam is preferred over direct ironing. If ironing is necessary, always place a protective cloth layer between iron and fabric. Use low heat settings only. Never apply heat directly to embroidered or textured surfaces.
Long-Term Preservation Strategy
For seasonal storage, clean garments thoroughly before storing. Use breathable cotton garment bags rather than plastic covers to prevent moisture buildup. Insert silica gel packets in storage areas to maintain dryness. Refold garments every 2–3 months to avoid permanent crease formation.
Repair & Restoration Philosophy
Minor wear such as loose threads or slight seam shifts should not be considered defects but natural garment evolution. We encourage local tailoring repair when necessary to extend product lifecycle. Sustainable fashion begins with responsible maintenance, not disposal.
Support & Assistance
If you have questions regarding garment care, fabric behavior, or repair recommendations, our support team is available for assistance. We are committed to ensuring every piece maintains its intended aesthetic and structural integrity throughout its lifecycle.
